Earn while you learn and get hands on with a wide range of industries, including construction, business, IT, engineering, care, horticulture, and retail.

What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are a great way to learn and earn at the same time. An apprenticeship is a combination of qualifications which can include:

  • a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), which is based on completing practical tasks in the workplace
  • a technical certificate, which is usually exam based
  • skills that will help you whilst at work, such as in English, maths & IT

The apprenticeship will take you anything from 1 to 4 years to complete, depending on the industry you choose.

Apprenticeships are part-financed by the European Social Fund

Do I need to be working?

To be an apprentice you will need to work in the industry that you want to complete the apprenticeship in for at least 30 hours per week. Your employer will need to allow you to train at college and be willing to support you at work by allowing you to complete an agreed range of tasks.

We can help you find an employer who's happy to do this.
