Apprenticeships are designed to meet your needs as an employer through vocational training. It is a combination of on-the-job training and qualifications that are current and relevant to your industry.
Both new and existing employees can do an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships are a fantastic option for those aged 16-24 who would like to take their qualifications linked to the workplace. Anyone over the age of 24 who wishes to do an apprenticeship at Level 3 or above will need to take out a student loan or fund the training themselves. There are a range of Apprenticeship levels to suit your organisation and level of skills required.
Apprentices aged 16-18 yrs: Government will fund the full cost of the training
Apprentices aged19 yrs -24 yrs: Government will pay up to 50% of the cost of the training
Apprentices aged 25yrs and over: contribution will be dependent on the sector

We will continue to support you and your apprentice throughout the Apprenticeship including: taking care of the paper work; arranging appropriate funding; and providing advice and support. You will be assigned an apprentice officer who will be on hand to guide you through the process.
