Veronica Day originally trained professionally in dance and musical theatre at the prestigious Urdang Academy. Following this, she gained a degree in Theatre at Guildford School of Acting. Her passion for choreography and teaching led her to complete her Ballet teacher training at the Royal Academy of Dance, before achieving formal QTS status with PGCE training at Goldsmiths, University of London.
After graduating, she worked as a dance teacher and choreographer in London, before moving to the area and founding Dance & Beyond. Veronica is a registered teacher with both the RAD and ISTD and can enter students into Ballet and Modern exams. She currently holds a 100% pass rate of Merit or above for graded and vocational examinations, with some students successfully gaining entry into Vocational Performing Arts Colleges.
Veronica’s enthusiasm for dance is contagious, and she is dedicated to bestowing this passion onto students, parents and teachers alike.
Irela Strachan trained initially at the National Ballet School of Canada and subsequently at Arts Educational and Bush Davies in the UK before completing an undergraduate degree in Music and Dance at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is delighted to have had the opportunity recently to work with the dance team at the University of Chichester to develop and implement the innovative Foundation Degree Dance Teaching in the Private Sector.
She is committed to developing dance education programmes that offer students a breadth of study that will afford them every opportunity to work in the dance sector as performers and/or teachers.
