The Chichester College Learning Support Grant is the name we have given to our discretionary learner support scheme and is administered by the college.

You can apply online for the Chichester College Learning Support Grant. We have tried to make applying as simple as possible, but it will involve filling in online forms, providing evidence and telling us about your financial situation. We will then make an assessment based on your personal circumstances.
The Chichester College Learning Support Grant may still be available to successful applicants of the 19+ Advanced Learning Loan (see below) if the total household income is below £32,000.
You can apply for a loan to help cover the costs of full or part-time courses for adults (aged 19 and over) covering an extensive range of subjects, all leading to a recognised level 3 to level 6 qualification. Stagecoach is offering a 7 day student Megarider gold ticket to allow unlimited bus travel on their bus services within West Sussex including routes to Brighton, Hampshire and Surrey. For more information or to buy your ticket online visit Stagecoach.
If your journey to Chichester or Brinsbury campus begins at Billingshurst, Shoreham-by-sea or Chichester, or any of the stations inbetween, you can purchase a 7 day Unizone ticket. A Unizone ticket entitles you to 7 days unlimted travel (within the destinations described above).
To purchase the Unizone ticket you will need both a 16-25 Railcard and a student card. Your student card will be given to you when you enrol. You will need to apply online at www.16-25railcard.co.uk for your 16-25 railcard.
If you are over the age of 25 you can also apply for the 16-25 railcard. You will need to upload and complete the Mature Student Declaration available on the 16-25 railcard website.
If your journey to Chichester or Brinsbury campus begins at Horley or Ockley, or any of the stations inbetween, you will be entitled to a 34% discount. Tickets are purchased from Southern Railway's website www.southernrailway.com.

- You must have obtained a free 'Sussex Student Card' (visit www.westsussex.gov.uk/schooltransport )
- You must purchase your ticket for a minimum of one month
Your discount will only be valid for stations that are not covered by the Worthing and Billingshurst Unizone.
We have a nursery called First Steps at both the Chichester and Brinsbury campuses, which offer great quality childcare to students.
If you are aged 19 or under and have children, you can apply for help with childcare costs from the Care to Learn scheme. If you are aged over 20, you can apply for help through the Chichester College Learning Support Grant for 19+.
We offer bursaries to full-time students taking landbased courses at our Brinsbury campus who live beyond a normal, daily traveling distance. The bursary is for accommodation costs or for travel costs, if the student wishes to stay at home. The bursary can be up to £94 a week for students living away from home. The bursary is means tested, so the amount you receive will depend on your family's income. Applications for bursaries are made direct to the college, please speak to the Student Finance team for more information.
