Homestay (UK)

Homestay means that you will live in a house with the owner and their family and is available to all students on full-time courses. You can specify whether you wish to be in a smoking or non-smoking household and can choose to stay in accommodation with or without pets or children.

All our homestay families are required to have an enhanced DBS check, are inspected by a member of the Accommodation Team each academic year and have completed our online safeguarding module in line with college policy.

Half Board

Half board homestay accommodation means that the owner and their family will provide you with breakfast and an evening meal during the week and breakfast, lunch and dinner at the weekend. These meals are included in the price of the accommodation.

You'll share the facilities in the house you stay in with the rest of your host family. Laundry is included once a week in the price of your accommodation. Any extra laundry should be discussed with your host family.

Self-catering homestay accommodation means that you'll live in a house with the owner and their family and will have the freedom to cook for yourself. You'll need to provide your own food and do your own washing up! Self-catering homestay accommodation is available to all students who are on a full-time course and over 17 years old.

You'll share the facilities in the house you stay in with the rest of your host family. Laundry is also your responsibility, although the host family's facilities are usually available.
