Aimed at adults, this introduction to animal behaviour and training will give you a sound basis in which to understand the natural behaviours of your pets and how you can reproduce this in the home. Bring along any examples of problem pet behaviours to discuss during the session. Saturday Session: 10:00 -15:00

Entry Requirements?

You will require no formal experience but a love of animals and a keenness to learn are vital.

What will I study?

You will study and explore an introduction to animal behaviour and training and develop an understanding of how this impacts on animal welfare.

How will I be taught?

Teaching will be both active and engaging including a PowerPoint presentation, video clips and practical elements, utilising the vast array of animals at our state of the art Animal Centre. This will ensure that all learners can recognise varying animal behaviours and methods of training.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed in a summative capacity through Q&A and on your ability to train an animal at the Centre to complete a trick.
