Learners may wish to progress further onto other cookery classes within the College.

No previous experience required.
What will I study?
Royal icing techniques, sugar paste/covering cakes/artistic styles, contemporary designs and traditional; flower making and couture cake style. Please bring a clean apron, pen & paper, food containers, any small equipment, set of scales, tea towel. Please wear sensible clothing within the kitchen, safe shoes, hair tied back, no scarves or jewellery. You will require: PME 1. 1.5 & 2. icing nozzles; food colourings (basic set- primary colours) - the Wilton Set is very good from Hobbycraft or Amazon; art book/scrap books advisable.
How will I be taught?
Practical demonstrations led by the tutor; one to one tuition within the group; individual/group discussion/evaluations of the practical work achieved.
How will I be assessed?
Continuous classroom assessment based on Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA)
