This course is suitable for those working as spray operators within their own industry. Our Safe Use of Pesticides Courses are designed to allow operatives to use pesticides safetly and legally in the work place. At Chichester College Brinsbury Campus we deliver specialist training for operatives based in West Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, and Surrey who require training and assessments for any City and Guilds NPTC Pesticides Unit.

What you need to know

What will I study?

A mixture of theory and practical to support your training to become a competent operator. Course Contents: - The requirements of current legislation - Using pesticides appropriately and safely - Keeping proper records - Storing pesticides correctly - Cleaning equipment - Disposing of unwanted pesticides and containers - Dealing with contamination and poisoning incidents - Applying pesticides safely and efficiently - Identifying and selecting appropriate nozzles.

How will I be taught?

Experienced trainers (NPTC accredited) will teach theory and practical and offer a wide range of real life examples drawn from their workplaces.

How will I be assessed?

You will be independently assessed by one of our NPTC approved assessors (exam based assessment). We are able to arrange training and assessment at your premises or another site.
