Course Details

This course is aimed at dedicated learners who want to move into further training within the beauty therapy management sector and who want a course with both practical hands on and theorectical training and a nationally recognised qualification. You will gain management knowledge and skills relating to beauty therapy and asthetics related industries. You will also undertake aspects such as small business enterprise and managing a real working environment. The laser light unit with be delivered by a prestigous aesthetic clinic within the Portsmouth surrounding area. The second year of the course will enable you to research and develop a business plan on opening your own salon. This Higher National Diploma will provide you with the knowledge, practical experience and confidence to pursue a career as a salon owner or salon manager with the added skills of aromatherapy, reflexology, laser light treatment and physiology of ageing. Year 1 Level 4 Higher National Certificate qualification. Students can then progress on to the year 2 Level 5 Higher National Diploma. The 2nd year will end with a full graduation ceremony at Chichester Cathedral.

Entry Requirements

GCSE Mathematics and English Language are preferred at grade C/4 or above. Prior Level 2 & 3 qualifications are required in beauty therapy for entry onto this HND in beauty therapy management.

Career options

The Higher National Diploma in Beauty Therapy Management will allow learners to progress in to industry related employment, salon ownership or further study for 1 year to achieve a BSc (Hons) in International Spa Management at univesity.
