What you need to know

What will I study?

This qualification covers all the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world of work within the beauty therapy industries. You will study the following content: Anatomy and Physiology, Principles of practice for Beauty Therapists, Hair removal treatments, Facial and skin analysis, Manicure treatments, Pedicure treatments, Light cured gel polish, Lash and Brow treatments, Apply make-up services, Introduction to Spa, Structured work experience placements.

How will I be taught?

Lessons will be delivered in both theory and practical settings and will cover both theory and practical aspects of the subject. Much of the learning process will be student centered and will require 100% attendance to lessons, commitment, dedication and the ability to conduct independent research.

How will I be assessed?

There will be practical formative assessments to aid the final synoptic practical assessment as well as a final theory written exam to be marked externally.
