Course Details

This is the second year of CILEx Level 3 academic training to becoming a CILEx lawyer, eventually leading to qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive once you have completed Level 6 and the relevant Qualifying Employment .

Entry Requirements

You need to have successfully completed the CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice to progress to the Diploma.

Career options

In conjunction with Qualifying Employment in a legal environment, completion of the Diploma will enable you to progress to Level 6 and eventually qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive.

What you need to know

What will I study?

Units studied include Criminal Law and Criminal Litigation, Land Law, Conveyancing and Contract.

How will I be taught?

The units are delivered by tutors in a classroom environment at the college. Attendance is for 4 hours a week during normal academic terms. Lessons are either on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons from 1.15 - 5.15.

How will I be assessed?

You will sit two written external CILEx exams in January at Chichester College and 3 exams in June.
