Course Details

The AAT level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting is a follow on course from the AAT level 2 Certificate in Accounting, and introduces more complex accounting tasks. These include year end account for sole traders and partnerships, maintaining cost accounting records and the completion of VAT returns.

Entry Requirements

You need to have successfully completed your AAT level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting Level 2. Alternatively we will accept equivalent qualifications.

What will I study?

Within this AAT qualification, you will study the following units: Advanced Bookkeeping Final Accounts Preparation Indirect Tax (VAT) Management Accounting - Costing Ethics & Spreadsheets for Accountants

How will I be taught?

Classroom based tuition, with additional tasks set as homework Additional resources on VLE Exam practice and e-Learning via AAT website.

How will I be assessed?

There are 5 assessments; 4 of which are computer based assessments where results will be available within 2 hours There is 1 final assessment covering Ethics, Spreadsheets and elements of the other 4 units, which is externally scheduled and marked by the AAT directly. The results for this will be available within 5 - 6 weeks.
