Course Details

In this qualification you will cover higher accounting tasks including drafting financial statements, managing budgets and evaluating financial performance, as well as optional specialist units including business tax, personal tax, external auditing and credit management and cash and treasury management. These are decided at the start of your course based on the subject specialism of your course tutor. Once you have completed this qualification successfully, and fulfilled our work experience requirements, you will achieve professional AAT Accountant status and can apply for AAT full membership and achieve professional MAAT status.

Entry Requirements

The successful completion of the AAT level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting is a mandatory requirement for this course.

What you need to know

What will I study?

Within the AAT level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting, you will study the following four compulsory units: Financial Statements of Limited Companies Management Accounting: Budgeting Management Accounting: Decision and Control Accounting Systems and Controls There are two further units to be selected from a choice of 5, this is discussed at the start of your course.

How will I be taught?

Classroom based tuition. Additional resources on VLE and exam practice via AAT website.

How will I be assessed?

All of your units will be assessed by computer based assessment, and the results of these will be made available within 5 - 6 weeks.
