Course Details

This course is designed for experienced bricklayers who have completed a level 2 NVQ. This course is for applicants who wish to progress their Brickwork skills and perhaps go in to supervisory roles or work independently. The course consists of mandatory units and then the applicant then chooses to follow the Brickwork route.

Entry Requirements

Apprentices must be in paid employment in the relevant industry to cover the requirements of the framework. There is a paper base Construction assessment along with an interview. Assessments in English and Maths need to be taken to determine if the applicant would be suitable.

What will I study?

The course is delivered in the College and Workplace and comprises of: • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Bricklaying • C&G Level 3 Diploma in Bricklaying ( Technical Certificate) • Functional Skills Mathematics Level 2 • Functional Skills English Level 2 • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)

How will I be taught?

Apprenticeship Delivery The course required attendance to the college to achieve all elements of the framework. The required attendance is for one day a week in one academic year.

How will I be assessed?

• NVQ Is achieved through candidates completing a portfolio of evidence which includes taking photos, completing write ups and getting witness testimonies. • Each candidate will have dedicated NVQ assessor who will guide them in obtaining this qualification.
