Course Details

The Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment offers students a broad introduction to the subject area. Students will gain a solid grounding of sector knowledge, while allowing for the acquisition of skills and experience across a variety of disciplines. This effectively builds core skills with general specialism. At Level 4 students develop a broad knowledge and awareness of key concepts of the construction and built environment sector. Focusing on 4 core units of Construction Practise and Management, Science and Materials, Construction Technology and an individual project, students should expect a variety of assessments to include exams, presentations, practical work and written assessments.

Entry Requirements

Applicants will be over the age of 18. GCSE Mathematics and English Language are preferred at grade C/4. Applicants with industry experience will also be considered. For further details please contact our admissions team to arrange an interview.

Career options

Students may choose to continue their studies, using this qualification to access other advanced Construction Industry programmes at a number of colleges and universities across the UK.
