Course Details

This is an excellent opportunity to study and develop your employability skills in the fast-paced and exciting service industries sector. These level 5 qualifications offer a stimulating and challenging programme of study which will be engaging and memorable for all. The course will provide essential subject knowledge needed to progress successfully into employment or into further study at professional / management level in tourism and/or hospitality management. Key emphasis will be placed on research with an International focus. Enjoy varied learning through lectures, guest speakers, seminars, individual and group work and through experiential learning. Two pathways are available; one being the International Travel and Tourism Management route and the other being International Hospitality Management. These are designed to offer specialisms relating to future careers and provide the skills and expertise sought after by the industry.

Entry Requirements

You will need either a combination of GCE A levels/Level 3 Diploma or an Extended Diploma at overall Merit. Relevant industry experience will be considered. GCSE Mathematics and English Language are preferred at grade 4/C or above, English as a second language at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

Career options

Students can progress straight into employment within the hospitality, travel and tourism industries or complete a ‘top up’ year at university.

How will I be taught?

Courses are taught with a combination of lectures, seminars and practical workshops, with the added expectation of self-directed study. Students will be expected to work as part of a team and independently in order to complete scheduled work.

How will I be assessed?
