The 3 main disciplines are MMA, MIG and TIG, and from this a range of options can be selected according to requirements. The units in the nationally recognised LASER Awards are delivered as ‘stand-alone’ modules. Each discipline is taught over 10 weeks for 3 hrs per session. • 5 weld test pieces are to be produced which are non-destruct tested and destruct tested. • A small portfolio is also to be completed by the end of the course.

Career options

You will need to gain employment in order to do further welding qualifications.

Entry Requirements?

Completion of a Level 1 qualification in Welding.
