Focussing on the major disciplines within engineering, the learner will gain the knowledge and hand skills needed to develop or build on a successful career in Welding.
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Level 2 Math's and English Level 1 or above as you will need to achieve Level 2 to complete the course. Level 2 ICT would also be an advantage as this will also have to be completed.

Are you in receipt of JSA or ESA Work Related Activity Group, or are you in receipt of a State Benefit and currently unemployed and seeking employment?
You will study 3 welding processes MIG, TIG and MMA both in the workshop and classroom.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught both in the workshop and in the classroom which will be a 50/50 split during the day. All observations will be carried out in the workplace.
How will I be assessed?
Both practical and theory will be assessed via workshop sessions and end of unit tests, 4 written and 2 online tests.
