Course Details

The course offers an integrated programme involving a Vocational course and a Technical Certificate as the City and Guilds Progression Award ‘Certificate in Engineering Level 3’. The course offers the practical skills, supported by the City and Guilds as Underpinning knowledge. This covers the mandatory requirement as two of the main qualifications within the ‘Engineering Apprenticeship Framework’.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have passed a level 2 apprenticeship in engineering.

You already need to working in the engineering sector, this qualification on completion will allow you to become a qualified advanced apprentice

You will attend college one day a week undertaking practical and theory lessons

How will I be assessed?

The apprenticeship is assessed in college with a series of test pieces and written answers. Part of the course is assessed in the workplace via observation and the collation of evidence in a portfolio.
