This qualification is designed for those who currently work in the field of assessment. It is designed to support the assessment of all Apprenticeships and vocational qualifications.

Entry Requirements

You must have a recognised qualification and competence with up-to-date experience of the principles and practices specified in the standards you are assessing. You must be working or have the opportunity to assess a minimum of 2 candidates and have a verifier and a counter signatory on site.

Career options

You may progress after 12 months experience being an assessor to a Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.

What you need to know

What will I study?

Unit 01,02 and 03 which will cover the principles and practices of assessment and the competence of assessing in the working environment. As well as assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.

How will I be taught?

Attend an introduction and underpinning knowledge session at college. One to one tutorial in the workplace where constructive feedback will be given to develop understanding and skills.

How will I be assessed?

Through written work, a portfolio of evidence,direct observation of practice and professional discussions.
