COURSE OVERVIEW
The main aim of Spanish Improvers Stage 2 is to consolidate your use of basic language structures and vocabulary by for example practising talking about the past and future in Spanish. You will also learn more about Spanish culture and history. We will spend a lot of time on oral work, so you will have plenty of opportunity to speak Spanish in class.
This course is designed to introduce students to the Spanish language and to develop an understanding of the language and customs. The course is a sound grounding for further studies. Our course gives the student ample opportunity to learn to deal with authentic situations that students may realistically be encountered with whilst travelling in Spain or Spanish speaking countries, for pleasure or when meeting Spanish people. Examples of topics covered during this course.
• To gain confidence talking about personal information
• To gain confidence talking about and ordering food and drink
• To gain confidence in listening and speaking by discussing about what students did during the previous weekend
• To gain an understanding of how Spanish people live in Spanish speaking countries and their culture
• To gain an understanding of some of the main verb tenses in Spanish, including the present, the past and the present
During the course we follow two textbooks: The textbooks that we follow come with a podcast and they have been designed for self-study and it comes with texts, listening tasks and exercises with their answers at the end of the textbook.
