The Property Ladder Apartments, sponsored by Barclays and designed by students studying for the Architecture and Interior Level 3 Diploma, are enclosed in a small tower block and represent different life stages, from first-time buyers to a downsizing couple in retirement.
Meanwhile a team from the Art and Design Extended Diploma course has designed the 21st Century Cottage.
It’s the first time in the show’s history that the show homes will have been designed by college students.
Lee Newton, CEO of Ideal Home Show organisers Media 10, was impressed by the project. He said: "We are delighted to have the students from Chichester College on board, helping our features team with designing two of our key show homes – 21st Century Cottage and Property Ladder Apartments, sponsored by Barclays.
"They are such a talented bunch and they have helped us to ensure that the show homes will be a stand out feature at this year's show. We're looking forward to inviting visitors in to see the fantastic work."
