Chichester College students prepare for Edinburgh Fringe return

Written by Eleanor on 7th June 2019

Preparations are in full swing for a team of talented theatre students, who will swapping the South Coast for Scotland this summer.

They will be taking their version of Alice in Wonderland to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, where they will experience first-hand the thrill of performing to hundreds of visiting festivalgoers.

Before they go, lucky audiences in Chichester will be able to enjoy exclusive previews at the college on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 June (6pm and 8pm on both dates).

Andrew Green, Executive Principal at the Chichester College Group, said: "Performing at the Edinburgh Fringe is a fantastic experience for our theatre and stage management students. They learn a lot in just a few short days.

"It's one thing to put on performances at college, but another to take a show to the other end of the country and compete against some of the best performers. I'm always blown away by the way the students rise to the challenge.

"And we are delighted to be able to invite audiences here in Chichester to follow us down the rabbit hole to the wonderfully weird world of Wonderland!

“It’s a fantastic family show, with a great script and colourful costumes. We are confident we will be able to build on our previous successes!”

Tickets for the previews cost £5 for adults, £4 for under 16s, students and over 60s. To find out more, please visit www.chichester.ac.uk/events
