Updated Southern Rail strike action

Further industrial action by staff in RMT union will be taking place later this month.

This means there will be limited Southern services on Monday 23 January. Further details of how journeys will be affected have not yet been confirmed.

However, planned action by staff in the ASLEF union on Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 and Friday 27 January has been called off.

It is likely some disruption will continue on the service during non-strike days. This unfortunately means that students who use the train network may experience difficulties coming into college. We are asking all students to plan your journeys to and from college in advance to ensure you are able to travel safely.

If you find you are unable to get into college due to the rail strike, please contact your student tutor as soon as possible (ideally in advance). Any notified absences can be authorised, which means your attendance percentage will not be affected.

We strongly advise students and staff check the latest information before you travel. If you need further information about the strike action, and how it may impact your journey, please visit www.southernrailway.com/strike. We do recommend checking this regularly as information can change rapidly.
