5th March, Goodwood takeover
The Goodwood Takeover is a flagship annual collaboration between the Goodwood Estate and Chichester College’s Hospitality & Catering department. Held this year on 5th March 2026 at Restaurant 64, the event brought together a team of highly skilled chefs from across the Goodwood Estate, who spent the day mentoring and working side‑by‑side with our hospitality students.
Throughout the takeover, students were guided through the full professional kitchen and front‑of‑house experience, from menu development to service execution. Under the chefs’ expert mentorship, learners created a bespoke, one‑night‑only menu inspired by Goodwood’s field‑to‑fork ethos and crafted using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients from the estate.
The restaurant was fully sold out, with guests enjoying a high‑calibre dining experience that showcased both the students’ developing talent and the strong industry partnership between Chichester College and Goodwood. For many learners, the event served as an invaluable opportunity to work in a live, fast‑paced environment, gain real‑world insight, and build confidence alongside experienced culinary professionals.
Overall, the takeover was a resounding success—celebrating skill development, employer engagement, and the continued growth of our Hospitality & Catering provision.
