You don't have to be an elite athlete to get ahead in the sport, fitness and leisure industry. From introductions to the sports industry and sport science to in-depth studies of coaching and fitness, these courses will help you get involved.
The skills you gain on a sports course prepare you for many jobs and career opportunities, some of the more obvious being coaching, teaching and playing sports, working in sports and leisure centres, clubs and schools, specialising in strength conditioning, sports therapy, nutritionist and sport psychology or moving onto higher education.
Most work is active and requires a degree of flexibility and organisation. You may be working outdoors, or based in clubs, leisure centres or in schools. Roles are varied and include decision making, supporting team members, investigation and fitness training.
Teamwork, communication, leadership, fitness, resilience, confidence, honesty, enthusiasm, bravery and commitment.
